It looks like straight edges and flawed faces.
It takes inspiration from unfamiliar people and unfamiliar places.
It yearns to be noticed, but it hides from the judgement.
It's deeper than just shapes and colors; it has meaning.
It uses expression as way to vent.
It hates being called the wrong thing.
Everywhere it goes, it sees emptiness.
Dying to capture everything that catches its eye.
But somehow it thinks it's impossible to compress
everything it sees into one goodbye.
So it escapes to the dead sea.
It's the artist inside me.
Did you mean to rhyme the first two lines? That's cool. This is best when you're being specific "dead sea" for example.
ReplyDeleteThe best part of this particular piece is that it feels (at least to me) is that I can really relate to it and how it gets inspiration in the from the unfamiliar. I have to agree with the previous comment when I say I'm not entirely sure what dead sea means. It lacks a strong tone, feeling like I either feel deep or nothing. What was the goal? Or what this a venting poem, like previously stated inside? -Katlyn
